MARSHALL - Jason M. Rogers, age 24, of Marshall, passed away on Sunday, June 20, 2004, following a motorcycle accident on Canal Road, north of Marshall. He was born on Nov. 27, 1979, in Madison, the son of Paul and Rose (Schimmel) Rogers. He worked as a construction worker. He married Helen Yerges on May 8, 2004, at Holy Trinity Church in Marshall. He was a 1998 graduate of Marshall High School. He was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church, Marshall. Jason loved to ride his motorcycle and was an avid bowler and softball player. He is survived by his wife, Helen Rogers of Marshall; his parents, Paul and Rose Rogers of Marshall; a brother, David (Kris) Rogers of Marshall; two sisters, Jennifer (John Johnson) Rogers of Lone Rock, and Darcie (Adrian) Wesoloski of Marshall; and his mother-in-law and father-in-law, Fred (Donna) Yerges of Waterloo. He is also survived by a number of nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by his grandparents. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Saturday, June 26, 2004, at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH, Waterloo, with the Rev. Thomas Wilsmann officiating. Burial will be in Washington Cemetery, town of Portland. Friends may call at ST. JOHN'S LUTHERAN CHURCH on Friday, June 25, 2004, from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. and on Saturday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials to the family would be appreciated.
