Birth year calculated from information on headstone transcription that age at death was 43 years. Rounded to year 1809 for this entry. Clarification would be appreciated.

The 1850 Census of Fairfield lists the James Cole and Harriet (Safronica Hitchcock) Cole family as including three minor children:

Emily, age 9, born in Iowa.
Laura M, age 7, born in Iowa.
David Hitchcock, age 9 months, born in Iowa.

An infant son of James W and Harriet Cole was Julius R Cole. He died on July 17, 1845 at age of 9 months.

Marriage date and location information not provided in the cemetery information available at the Fairfield Public Library.

Burial location of wife Harriet C Cole is unconfirmed; she died in Moline, Illinois but her obituary published in the Fairfield Ledger on Thursday, November 6, 1856 does not list a burial location. Possibly she was returned to Fairfield and this cemetery for burial, but no headstone is in place for her and there are no cemetery records recording her burial. The lack of documentation was common for that time period, so one can still reasonably think that she was returned to Fairfield and buried in this plot area to be buried near her son Julius and husband James Cole.
