Loy "Stoney" Stonecipher, 90, a longtime Casa Grande resident, died Dec. 14, 1999.

Visitation will be from noon to 1 p.m. Friday at Trinity Southern Baptist Church. The funeral there will follow at 1 p.m.. with the Rev. Steve Ballew officiating. Church deacons will be pallbearers.

Mr. Stonecipher was born in Erath County, Texas. He served in World War II and was wounded on Omaha Beach during the Normandy Invasion. He transported furniture before retirement.

Survivors include a daughter, Emaloy Bell, of Casa Grande; a son, Roy Stonecipher, of Tucson; three sisters, Billie Gannaway, of Phoenix, Vera Bethencourt, of Patterson, California, and Lillie Simmons, of Coolidge; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Glenda; a sister; and nine brothers.

Cole & Maud Mortuary is in charge of arrangements.
