CORA RUTH HELTERBRAND

Cora Ruth Helterbrand age 91 of Hillsboro died Wednesday morning, January 7, 2009 at the Laurels in Hillsboro. She was born March 12, 1917 in Peebles, Ohio the daughter of the late Michael and Agnes Gardner Lorenzo. She is survived by one son and daughter-in-law, David Ronald and Barbara Helterbrand of Leesburg, one daughter and son-in-law, Sandra Rae and Keith Tong of Canton, five grandchildren, Dwayne Rick Helterbrand of Leesburg, Rodney (Lisa) Helterbrand of Danville, Randall (Cathy) Helterbrand of Wilmington, Brian (Betsy) Tong of Canton, Krista (Jaime) Spencer of Canton, seven great grandchildren and five step great grandchildren. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Lawrence Helterbrand on April 13, 1996, seven brothers, David, Benjamin, Alfred, Arthur, Jessie, Clarence and Michael Lorenzo and four sisters, Grace Paynter, Bessie Shaw, Anna Deatley and Mabel McGlothen. Services will be held 11:00 a.m. Saturday, January 10th at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Burial will follow in the Dunkard Ridge Cemetery. Friends may call on Friday from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. at the Turner & Son Funeral Home in Hillsboro. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Cancer Society, 2808 Reading Road, Cincinnati, Ohio 45206, or to the Alzheimer's Association, 644 Linn Street, Suite 1026, Cincinnati, Ohio 45203.
