The deceased was born at Waynesboro, Va., March 28, 1822. Her maiden name was Deal, she being a sister of Mr. Samuel C. Deal, of Dry Grove, and Mr. Henry I. Deal, formerly of Danvers and Stanford, but now of Vinita, Indian Territory; also of Mrs. John T. McClure, of Gibson City.
She was united in marriage to Mr. John C. Vockrodt August 17, 1846, in Virginia, and moved to Illinois in 1848.
To this union seven children were born, three of whom survive. These are William L., Mrs. C. C. Culbertson and Walter, all of whom live in Danvers.
She has been a continuous and respected citizen of Danvers for forty-nine years, and a faithful and consistent member of the Presbyterian Church since childhood.
The funeral services will take place at the Presbyterian Church in Danvers at 1:30 o’clock Saturday afternoon. Interment will be at the West Twin Grove Cemetery. Rev. G. A. Wilson will conduct the services.
