Donald Dean Mills, 77, Mt.Vernon, died at 1:10 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 26, 2008, at the Lawrence County Manor, Mt.Vernon.

He was born June 27, 1931, in Wichita, Kan., to Elbert and Bernice (Renick) Mills. He was a United States Air Force veteran and served during the Korean Conflict. He was a laborer for Con-Agra turkey ranch and was a member of Christ Chapel Church, Mt.Vernon.

He married Donna Daniel Sept. 6, 1987 in Mt.Vernon. She survives.

Additional survivors include two daughters, Dawn Marie and Tammy; three stepdaughters, Mary and Mona Ford, Springfield, and Kathleen Johnson of Oklahoma; three stepsons, Bill Ford of Warrensburg, Matt Ford, Waldorf, and Jon Ford, Mt. Vernon; 10 grandchildren and five great-grandchildren.

Services were Saturday, Nov. 29, in Fossett-Mosher Funeral Home, Mt.Vernon. Burial, with military honors, was in Mt.Vernon City Cemetery.
