Norma Lynn Reeve, the daughter of Norman and Leta (Daniel) Reeve, was born on November 24, 1954 Colorado Springs, Colorado. She passed away on December 30, 2008 at her home in Nelson at the age of 54 years, 1 month and 5 days.

As the child of a military family Norma lived in many places growing up including, Colorado Springs, Colorado, Fairbanks, Alaska, Anchorage, Alaska, Tacoma Washington, Dover, Delaware, Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania and Fort Walton Beach, Florida. She graduated from Ft. Walton Beach High School with the class of 1973. She was married to Larry Festa on April 13, 1973 at Ft. Walton Beach, Florida and to this union Amy was born. They were later divorced. On March 29, 1983 she was united in marriage to Jon Sunday in Nelson, Nebraska and to this union, Megan was born. They were later divorced.

Norma was a seamstress and could sew anything. She made the wedding dress her sister-in-law Candy wore for her wedding, and even helped repair the schools bus seats. She had owned her own seamstress shop in Ft. Walton, Florida for a time. She was a member of the Quilters Guild and helped found the Sewing Cottage for the York Nebraska Female Penitentiary. She was also a cosmetologist in Kearney for a short time and was a nurses aid at the Nelson Good Samaritan Center and in Lincoln, Nebraska. She enjoyed reading, gardening, doll making, fishing, camping and any kind of animal, especially her cats. She loved her family and her grandchildren who she took care of and raised. She loved to watch them in their school activities and seeing them play in sporting events.

She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Charles and Lillie Daniel and grandfather, Clyde Reeve.

She is survived by her parents, Norman and Leta Reeve of Nelson, Nebraska, grandmother, Bessis Reeve of Nelson, Nebraska. Daughters, Amy DeLaney of Ft. Worth, Texas and Megan Sunday of Hastings, Nebraska. Four grandchildren, Claire, Anthony and Sophia Delaney and Lillie Sunday. One sister, Nannette Jenkins of Cisco, Texas and one brother, Tim Reeve and wife Candy of Nelson, Nebraska along with a host of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services were held on Saturday, January 3, 2008 at 2:00 PM from the Nelson Community United Church of Christ in Nelson, Nebraska with Rev. Dr. Stephen Berry officiating. Music was recordings of "I'll Fly Away", When We All See Jesus" and "Holes In The Floor Of Heaven", Sherone Sader was organist.

Pallbearers were Glen Sunday, Bruce Jeffs, Mike Culbertson, Tom Wilson, Kevin Stout and Jim Woerner.
Honorary Pallbearers were Emil and Geraldine Stichka, Becky Woerner, Sharon Sole, Gordon and Darlene Farver and Sherone Sader.

Interment was in the Nelson Cemetery at Nelson, Nebraska.
