Ina Maude Anderson, 89, of Rome, died Wednesday, Aug. 22, 2001, at Fort Madison Health Center in Fort Madison.
The funeral will be held at 2 p.m. Monday at Beauty Funeral Home in Mount Pleasant with the Deacon Gary Sammons officiating. Burial will be in Grant Cemetery, north of Rome.
Visitation will be held from 2-4 p.m. Sunday at the funeral home. A memorial has been established in her memory.
Mrs. Anderson was born March 16, 1912, north of Rome, the daughter of Peter and Fanny Ensminger. She married Willis Anderson Aug. 2, 1930, in Mount Pleasant. He died in 1972.
She had lived in Henry county all her life and was employed by the mental hospital in Mount Pleasant for 17 years, retiring in 1979. Her hobbies included quilting, gardening and canning, crocheting, talking care of her rose garden and cooking for her family.
Survivors include two sons, Leonard Anderson and wife Phyllis of Fort Madison and Ron Anderson of Sacramento, Calif.; 13 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; two step-great-grandchildren; and six great-great-grandchildren.
Besides her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents; one son Larry; one sister; five brothers; two grandsons; and one great-grandson.
