Services were Friday for Clarence F. Wiesner, 64, who died Monday, March 19 at the University Hospital, Denver. He was born Dec. 19, 1919 in Hays, to Joseph and Rose (Niernberger) Wiesner.

Services were at the St. Mary Catholic Church with the Rev. Paulinus Karlin officiating; burial followed in the church cemetery.

He married Marjorie Walz Sept. 14, 1942 in Wichita Falls, Tex.

He owned the Wiesner AG Grocery. He was a member of the St. Mary Catholic Church, the Knights of Columbus Church, Rotary, VFW and American Legion, all of Ellis. He was a World War II veteran. He was Ellis mayor from 1961-64 and form 1967-68. He also served in the Ellis City Council.

Survivors include his wife, of the home; a brother, Alfred Wiesner, Littleton, Colo., five sisters, Edna Mae Delva and Dorothy Rupp, both of Denver, Lucille Flanders, Muscatine, Iowa, Beebe Wiesner, Ellis, and Mary Ann Crosbie, Modesto, Calif.
