Esta Ella Grubaugh was born in 1880 to Matthew Palmer Grubaugh and Lenora Jane Snavely. She was the 2nd of their 13 children. She spent most of her life in Butler County, NE. She married Lamonte Bates Adams on 4 Jun 1898 in Columbus, Platte, NE. They had eight children - Ernest William Adams, Orsie Willard Adams, Ruby May Adams, Edith Lenora Adams, Ira Cecil Adams, John Leroy Adams, Arthur Earl Adams, and Margaret Josephine Adams. Lamonte died in 1958 and Esta died 3 years later. She never remarried.
