Born October 5, 1932, in Salamanca, she was the daughter of Frank and Helen Bierfeldt Ambuske.
She was married May 2, 1953 to Hubert E. Newark, who died August 15, 1996.
Surviving are six daughters; Deborah McClure and Toni Newark, of Salamanca; Mrs. Earl (Julie) Lafferty and Mrs. William (Chris) Jacoby, both of Great Valley; Noreen Huffman of Weirsdale, FL; and Mrs. Randy (Tammi) Roberts of Lockport; two sons, Michael Newark and Clarence "John" (Marjory) Newark of Salamanca; 20 grandchildren and 6 great-grandchildren; three brothers, Pete (Joyce) Ambuske of Salamanca; Mark (Mary) Ambuske of Salamanca; and James (Bert) Ambuske of Fulton; a sister, Anna Guard of Buffalo; and several nieces and nephews.
Mrs. Newark was predeceased by a son, Frank "Pete" Newark.
Friends may call Monday from 2 to 4pm and 7 to 9pm at the O'Rourke and O'Rourke Funeral Home, 25 River Street, Salamanca where funeral services will be held Tuesday (December 1, 1998) with the Rev. Joseph Porpiglia, pastor of St. Patrick's Church, officiating.
Burial will be in Crawford Cemetery, Salamanca.
