FUNERAL TUESDAY
Funeral services for William "Bill" Bonham, 86, Glasco, were Tuesday, Dec 29, 1987 at 10:30 a.m. at the Dean Funeral Home ,Glasco. Pastor Phyllis Nungester of the Glasco Christian Church officiated. William "Bill" Bonham died Friday, Dec. 25, 1987,at the St. Joseph Hospital in Concordia, Kans., at the age of 86. He was born in Clay county, Ill.,May 22, 1901 the son of Harvey and Nellie Davis Bonham. Bill grew up and attended school in Illinois. He was married to Faye Porter on June 21,1921, in Louisville, Ill. They came to the Glasco community shortly after their wedding and farmed in that community until they retired in 1965, and moved into Glasco . Faye died Aug. 12, 1980. In addition to his wife, he was preceded in death by his parents; and four sisters, Edna, Mary, Flossie and Beulah; and a grandson, Lynn Bonham. Mr. Bonham is survived by his two sons and their wives, Leon and Rosalie Bonham, Concordia, and Loren and Gladys Bonham , Glasco; a half-brother, George Bonham and a half-sister, Rachel; Three grandchildren, Dennis , Becky and Linda Bonham;four step-grandchildren, Donnie, Sherri, Roberta and Carol; two great-grandchildren,Tracy and Ginger; eight step-grandchildren and three step-great-great-grandchildren. Interment was in the Glasco Cemetery. Music was furnished by Randy Lagasse, vocalist and Charlene Hansen, organist. Casket Bearers were Cal Adkins, Dan Koeh, Carl Windhorst, Karlton Windhorst, Kelvin Windhorst, Squeak Wolf. Dean Funeral Home had charge of arrangements.
