Marsha was born on December 23, 1952 in Abilene, Texas to Marshall Darwin Turnbull and Annadell (Harkey) Turnbull. She graduated from Cooper High School in 1971 and then went on to graduate from Southwestern University in Georgetown and then the University of Texas in Austin. Marsha taught school in the Spring Branch Independent School District near Houston. After teaching in Spring Branch she then taught in McMullen County, Texas where she served on the school board. Marsha was active in the Texas Hereford Association and was a member of St. Paul United Methodist Church.
Preceding Marsha in death were her mother, Annadell Turnbull, and one brother, Michael Dean Turnbull. She is survived by her father, Dr. Marshall Turnbull, of Abilene; one son, Jason Harris, of Austin; two daughters, Sarah Harris, also of Austin and Rebekah Ray and her husband Chance, of Bigfoot, Texas; her children's father, Martin Reese Harris, Jr., of Tilden, Texas; one brother, Andrew Turnbull and his wife Kim, of Abilene; one sister, Lora Brinkman and her husband Sam, also of Abilene; and one grandson, Colton John Ray. Marsha is also survived by four nieces, Heather Batts, Anna Brinkman, Maggie and Molly Turnbull; and two nephews, Travis Lane and Marshall Turnbull.
Marsha's family would like to express their great appreciation to Sears Nursing Center for their kindness and their care shown to Marsha over the years.
