B. D. Harris Rites Held Monday

Funeral services for B. D. Harris were held at the Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home at 2:30 o'clock Monday afternoon, March 5. Mr. Harris died at his home in Bonham at 10:30 o'clock Saturday night, March 3, 1962.

He had been in ill health several years.

Officiant at the last rites was the Rev. T. J. Watts, pastor of the First Baptist Church. Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Home was in charge of interment in Oakwood Cemetery.

Named pallbearers were Tiny Roden, Don Parham, Ras Bierbower, Jess Brantley, C. E. Hawkins and Bill Helms.

A native of Mississippi, Mr. Harris was born June 6, 1893. His parents were the late Edgar Harris and Rita Ann Billingsley Harris.

He was a member of a Baptist Church in Ft. Worth.

He was married to Allene Wisdom in 1939.

Survivors include his wife, Mrs. Allene Harris of Hot Springs, Ark., a brother, Clarence Harris of Dallas; and four sisters, Mrs. Vesta Beavers and Mrs. Mae Parker, both of Dallas, Mrs. Mattie Ferguson, Carrollton, and Mrs. Fanny Evans of Terrell.

Honey Grove

Funeral services for B. D. Harris, 68, of Bonham, formerly of Honey Grove, were held at Cooper-Sorrells Funeral Chapel at 2:30 p.m. Monday. The Rev. T. J. Watts, pastor of the First Baptist church, conducted the services and interment was in Oakwood Cemetery.

He died in Bonham at 10:30 p.m. Saturday, Mar. 3, 1962.

Survivors are the widow, Mrs. Allene Wisdom Harris of Hot Springs, Ark.; a brother, Clarence Harris of Dallas; four sisters, Mrs. Vesta Beavers and Mrs. May Parker of Dallas, Mrs. Fannie Evans of Terrell and Mrs. Mattie Ferguson of Carrollton.

A native of Mississippi, Mr. Harris was born June 6, 1893, the son of the late Mr. and Mrs. Edgar Harris.

He was a member of the Baptist church and a World War I veteran.
