Merrill Kurtz, former owner-operator of Kurtz Restaurant on the Springfield Road, Bardstown, died about 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, April 29, at Flaget Hospital, where she had been a patient for two weeks after suffering a heart attack. She was in her 77th year. Mrs. Kurtz had operated the restaurant since it was built in 1937 until recent years when two of her daughters assumed management of the business.
