Joseph Fredrick Warren

Was born near Cleveland, Wn., Nov. 29th, 1888, and died July 11, 1923, in the St. Vincent hospital at Portland, Oregon.

Mr. Warren spent his early life near this vincity. He married Miss Ollie Woods, daughter of Sherman Woods of the Dot country where she was born and raised. Four children were born to this union, three sons and one daughter, they are Durad aged 12, Norman aged 9, Karl aged 5 and a baby daughter aged two months old. He left here in 1908 going to the Sound country where he was employed in the mills until 1910, when he returned to the Yakima Valley, and worked for the U. S. until 1913 when he settled a homestad in Wasco county Oregon. In 1918 he moved to Stevenson Wn. Where he was employed by the Raildroad Co. living there until 1922, he then move to Bend Oregon, where he was still in the employ of the railroad Co. where he received injuries last November from which he never recovered, causing his untimely death. He was a member of the order of the Eagles at Stevenson Wn., and also of the Woodman of the World.

Besides the wife and four children, the deceased leaves to morn his departure, a father, S. L. Warren, of Bickleton; one brother, Berry Warren of Roosevelt, Wn.; four sisters, Mrs. Bella Cunningham of Antalope Oregon; Mrs. E. H. Hooker and Mrs. George Sanders of Bickleton.

Funeral services were held from the Cleveland church, conducted by Rev. M. H. Staines, of the Bickleton M. E. church, at 12:00 o'clock, Friday July 13, 1923 and the interment was in the Cleveland cemetery.

Fred Warren, a resident of Stevenson, Washington for many years, but lately of Bend, Oregon, died in a Portland, Oregon hospital Wednesday.

Three years ago Mr. Warren suffered an attack of the flue which left him in a weak physical condition, and recently while in the employ of a railroad, a trunk fell on his shoulder and neck which caused tumors on the neck from which he never recovered.

At one time Mr. Warren was conducting a transfer business here in Stevenson, Washington, having sold to A.J. Potts. He leaves a wife and four children. He carried insurance in the W.O.W. for $1000.

Interment will be held at Cleveland Cemetery, Klickitat county, today.
