Mrs. Walters, 96, of 410 16th St., Duncansville, died at 10:20 p. m. Monday, Feb. 13, 1989, at her home.

She was born Jan. 22, 1893, in Duncansville, the daughter of Samuel and Mary Ellen (Hoover) Clapper, and on June 19, 1912, married Eli Walters, who died Dec. 1 1973.

Surviving are seven children: Gladys Kirkham, Naomi Young, Myla Helsel, Fred, Elda Mae, and Wilford of Duncansville and Dean A. of Bakers Summit; 15 grandchildren and 15 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are a sister and brother: Edna Langham and David B. of Hollidaysburg RD.
Mrs. Walters was a member of the Carson Valley Church of the Brethren.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Thursday at the Donald E. Liebegott Funeral Home, Duncansville. Interment at Carson Valley Cemetery

On June 19, 1912 in Cumberland, Maryland she married Eli Walters. He was the son of Thomas and Mary(Walls) Walters.
