"9 Sep 1929 Younglove, Morris-age 48 Nightwatchman-Shot to death at 12:05 A. M. 9/9/28 while eating in a restaurant at 2800 W. Van Buren St by one of three unknown bandits who attempted to rob the place. The deceased fired one shot at them and was himself immediately shot to death. 27 Dist. On 9/23/28 Charles Zelly alias Stanley, and Walter Ingram were arrested and confessed, implicating Leo Bezler alias Liakos as the principal. On 9/26/28 they were held to the G. J. without bail, as
accessories, by Judge Padden. On 9/30/28 Leo Bazler was arrested and on 10/3/28 help without bail by Judge Padden. 5/14/29 all three to Joliet Pen. For life - Lynch "

Watchman Is Slain.
Maurice Younglove, 45 years old 2004 Monroe Street, watchman and owner of the Van Buren patrol service was shot and killed early this morning by one of the three young men who attempted to hold up the soft drink parlor of John Marchetti at 2800 van
Buren street. Marchetti, his wife and Nicholas Ferritte, 2734 Jackson boulevard, were waiting on Younglove and two other patrons when the robbers entered. Younglove drew his pistol and fired one bullet. It went wide as the bandit leader fired
three times and the watchmen fell with bullets in the head and neck. The robbers fled without loot and escaped in an automobile.

Hunt Three Robbers Who shot Watchman to Death.
The police yesterday were searching for three young robbers who shot and killed Maurice Younglove, 45 years old 2004 West Monroe St, when he resisted them in a soft drink parlor at 2800 West Van Buren street. Younglove owner of Van Buren Patrol
system, was being served with a drink when the bandits entered. He fired once at them, but the leader of the trio shot straighter and three of his bullets entered Younglove's body.
