On November 15, 1907, her husband John filed a cash land patent (Document No. 18583) for a total of 160 acres of land located at meridan 05, Township 096 N, Range 067 W, Section 035 in Gregory County, South Dakota. For several years John and Annabelle lived in a sod house.
In 1932 John and Annabelle moved to a farm located 1 mile West and 2 miles South of Rowley, Buchanan County, Iowa.
Annabelle died August 28, 1983 and is buried in the Rowley Cemetery, Rowley, Homer Township, Buchanan County, Iowa.
Annabelle's china pattern was Alfred Meakin's "Moss Rose."

Annabelle Bishop, 101, of 1638 Wildwood Drive, NE died Friday at home following a long illness.
Born Dec. 29, 1881, in Princeton, Ill., she married John. N. Bishop on Jan. 31, 1906, in Marshalltown. He preceded her in death. A resident of Cedar Rapids since 1959, she was formerly of Rowley.
Mrs. Bishop was a member of the Westminster Presbyterian Church. She was a Sunday school teacher for 50 years before coming to Cedar Rapids.
Survivors are a son, Harold R. of Waterloo; four daughters, M. Helen Lewis of Shellsburg, Dorothy Bishop of Cedar Rapids, F. Marian Melick of Waterloo and N. Maxine Ford of Fort Wayne, Ind.; a sister, Grace Bradley of Terry Mont.; a brother, John S. Bartley of Waterloo; 14 grandchildren; 22 great-grandchildren; and four great-great-grandchildren.
Services: 1:30 p.m. Monday in the Westminster Presbyterian Church by Dr. John P. Woods. Burial: Rowley Cemetery in Rowley. Friends may call at Turner Chapel East after 1 p.m. today. The casket will be closed prior to the service.
