H.C. THIELE, MD
Sudden death in the evening of 29 Nov. of Dr. H.C. Thiele of a heart attack.
He had just participated in Communion at the Methodist Church. Dr. Thiele was born 22 Apr. 1861 in Town Newton where his parents operated a farm. He helped his folks on that farm until he was 17, when he enrolled in Wallace College in Berea, Ohio. Upon graduation, he enrolled at Rush Medical College in Chicago to study medicine and did his residence at Cook County Hospital. For a while he practiced in Desplaines, but because of illness moved to the South, eventually coming back to his roots here in Manitowoc in April. The funeral was last Sun. afternoon.
