Frank E. Winterling is the son of Frank Weston and Jessie Winterling. He was a sergeant in the U.S. Marine Corps when he was killed in October 1942. Just 5 months later, his brother Joe N. Winterling, a corporal in the Marines, was lost in action in the Philippines.
