She and Robert had two children. A son Robert Lee Boies Jr. and a daughter Thelma Rebecca Boies Schroeder.

Burial was in Prewitt Cemetery near Mangham under direction of Mulhearn Funeral Home of Rayville.
Mrs. Boies died Wednesday, July 21, after a short illness. She was a native of Athens and a member of Bethlehem Baptist Church.
Survivors include her son, Robert L. Boies of Alto; daughter Mrs. Rebeca Schroeder of Columbia, MO; four grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Manning Hewitt, Grover Burgess, Bill Williamson, Bennie Johnson, Christopher Schroeder, John Hunter, Billy Johnson and Ralph Boies.
