Luray V. Boyd, 78, of Lakeside ,Mi., employed 32 years as a mail carrier here until his retirement from the postal service in 1945. Mr. Boyd, who carried mail on four different routes while with the post office, was employed by the State Highway Department the past four years as a cement sampler at Huron-Portland Cement Co.
Mr. Boyd was born May 13, 1880, in Newaygo County where he attended schools. He moved here about 50 years ago. He was married August 31, 1910, to Miss S. Ethel Allen. A member of Lakeside Methodist Church, he also was a member of the Golden Age Club, Modern Woodmen of America and the Letter Carrier's Association. He leaves his wife; a son, George of Muskegon; two daughters, Mrs. Earl Cook of Norton Township and Mrs. Martin Sokolowski of Ravenna; and
