Mrs. Eliza Jane Supler, aged 70 years, a well known woman of Richhill township, died Sunday morning, July 15, 1917, at 8 o'clock at the home of her daughter, Mrs. J. D. Durbin, of Wind Ridge, with whom she had been visiting. Death was due to diphtheria and other complications. Mrs. Supler was born August 11, 1846, a daughter of Daniel and Julia Goodwin and had spent her entire life in Richhill township. She married R. W. Supler, whose death occurred October 20, 1914. She is survived by one daughter, Mrs. J. D. Durbin, of Wind Ridge. She is also survived by five grandchildren and five great-grandchildren. The grandchildren are Mrs. O. C. Ewing, of Shirls avenue, Washington; Miss Goldie Durbin, of Shirls avenue, Washington; Linn Durbin, at home; Glenn Durbin, of Bristoria, and Harry Durbin, of Wind Ridge. Mrs. Supler was one of a family of five children and she is also survived by one brother and two sisters, John Goodwin and Miss Mary Goodwin, of Wind Ridge, and Mrs. D. W. Vanatta, of near Majorsville. Mrs. Supler was a member of the Ryerson Station Baptist church. Funeral services were held at the Durbin home, near Wind Ridge, Monday afternoon at 2 o'clock. Interment in the Wind Ridge cemetery."
