Ambulance service volunteer AHWAHNEE — Kerry Walker, died on her 63rd birthday. Graveside services will be held on Thursday [March 8] at 10 a.m. at the Oakhill Cemetery in Oakhurst. Arrangements are under the direction of Sierra Funeral Chapel. Mrs. Walker was a native of Los Angeles, where she grew up in South Gate and then moved to Huntington Beach when she married Robert Walker 46 years ago. While a resident of Huntington Beach, she worked with the Junior Chamber of Commerce. She and Mr. Walker moved to Ahwahnee in 1977 where she helped operate the family ranch. She was very active with Sierra Ambulance Service, serving on the board of directors for four or five years. After she retired from the board, she continued her involvement with the ambulance service. She was also active in the Ahwahnee Volunteer Fire Department. Mrs. Walker is survived by her husband, Robert. She also leaves her daughter, Sherry Walker of Ahwahnee, and two sons, Curtiss Walker, Oakhurst, and Darryll Walker, Fresno. She was a sister to Carl Stephenson, Riverside, and Michael Stephenson, Redondo Beach. She also leaves five grandchildren, Michele, Brian, Kelli, Laura and Anthony.
