Services for Lee Stephen Hopkins, 84, of 1409 W 11th, who died Saturday at a Coffeyville nursing home, will be at 2pm Tuesday in th Ford Funeral Home chapel with the Rev Charles Bennett officiating. Burial will be in Restlawn Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr Hopkins was born April 2, 1885 at mcCook Nebr and came to Kansas with his parents when he was eight years old. The family lived on a farm south of Cherryvale. He was later employed by the brick plant and smelter in Cherryvale. He married Rose Theresa Perner on Aug 16, 1911 at Independence and the couple moved to a farm south of Cherryvale in 1915. They came to Coffeyville in 1944 where he was employed by the tile plant until his retirement in 1956. He was a member of the First Methodist Church. Survivors include the widow of the home a daughter Mrs Howard W (Rosalie) Wise of 1322 W 12th a son Donald of 3604 W Seventh a sister Mrs Florence Moore of Cherryvale two brothers Arthur of Augusta and Luther of Sloan, Iowa; three grandchildren and two great grandchildren.
