Hazleton Plain Speaker; Tuesday, October 30, 1945:
Miss Ione Eleanor Racho, daughter of Mrs. Anna Racho Leshko, of 747 East Diamond avenue, this city, and Capt. Warren T. Lenhart, of 402 Carroll Parkway, Frederick, Md., were married Sunday afternoon at 2 o'clock, at St. John's Catholic church, Arthur street, this city. Rev. Nicolas Martyak performed the double ring ceremony.

The bride, who was given in marriage by her brother, John Racho, wore a heavy ivory Duchess satin gown, with a sweetheart neckline, studded with ivory pearl beads, tight-fitting sleeves, a long, flowing train falling from the waistline, and a veil of imported Chantilly lace. Her flowers formed a fan of gardenias and bouvardia. Miss Irene Pavlik, of this city, was maid of honor, and wore powder blue net, with a sweetheart neckline, a full skirt, and a blue calot studded with pearls. She carried a fan of rose-colored pompons. Robert L. Smith, Jr., of Frederick, Md., was best man.

The altar and side altar were decorated with palms and white pompons. St. John's choir, under the direction of Prof. Andrew Parvensky sang "Hail Mary," "We Come Under Your Protection," and "Psalms of David." The ceremeony was followed by a buffet luncheon at the home of Mr. and Mrs. W. Skernolis, of 14 West Holly street, after which the couple left on a wedding trip to New York. The bride's mother wore a black crepe dress with orchids, and Mrs. Lenhart wore black crepe with a similar corsage. To go away, the bide wore a gray wool dress with brown accessories and an aqua topper. Her flowers were orchids.

The bride was graduated from Hazleton High School in 1937, and has been employed as assistant resident inspector of ordnance material. The bridegroom was graduated from Frederick High School, Class of 1937, and was attending the Blue Ridge college, when he entered the service. He recently returned from overseas, and will report to North Carolina for reassignment. Out-of-town guests include Mr. and Mrs. Clemon Lenhart, Mr. and Mrs. H. Webster Whitehill and Mrs. Arthur Staine, all of Frederick, Md.

Ione R. Lenhart, 84, of Frederick, Md., died Sunday at the home of her daughter in Frederick. Born in Hazle Brook, Jan. 27, 1919, she was a daughter of the late Andrew and Anna Kollesar Racho. She was a 1937 graduate of Hazleton High School and attended Hixson's School of Floral Design in Lakewood, Ohio. Mrs. Lenhart was a member of St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, Frederick, and the St. Elizabeth Ann Seton Court 278, Catholic Daughters of America. She was also a member of the Green Walled Garden Club and had completed a course of study in the Federated Garden Clubs of Maryland Landscape Design School. She was well known for her English boxwood and dogwood gardens at her Kline Boulevard home in Frederick for 43 years.

In early years, Mrs. Lenhart worked as an assistant resident inspector of ordinance material, for the Everedy Company in Frederick from 1943-1944. She also worked for a number of years with James Avery Clark Floral Distributors, Frederick.

Preceding her in death , in addition to her parents, were her husband of 53 years, Lt. Col. Warren Talmadge Lenhart, USAF retired, June 30, 1999; brothers and sisters, Andrew Racho, Elizabeth Skernolis, Anna Knoblaugh, Joseph Racho, John Racho, Mary Chunko, Margaret Maxwell, Michael Racho and Stephen Racho.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday from St. John the Evangelist Roman Catholic Church, 118 E. Second St., Frederick, Md. The Rev. Wayne G. Funk, will be the celebrant. Burial will be in Mount Olivet Cemetery, Frederick. The Keeney and Basford Funeral Home, 106 E. Church St., Frederick, Md., 21701-5404 is in charge of funeral arrangements. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests memorial donations to Hospice of Frederick County, P.O. Box 1799, Frederick Md., 21702-1799.
