CAUSE OF DEATH:
Injuries from a car accident. On Nov. 5, 1959, Wayne, Roberta (sibling), and Dad (Norman) were hit head-on near Palos Park by a Vero-Lite Candle truck. The impact then caused Zielger's car to crash into a third vehicle driven by Glenn Maddock. In 1961, Norman Ziegler accepted a settlement of $91,150 dollars for the deaths of his children and his injuries. The settlement was divided as follows: $47,150 for Norman's right leg & left arm fractures and $22,000 for each child.
