Archie Lee Ingram, 89, of Ferrum, died Sunday, Sept. 24, 2006.
He was born April 12, 1917, in Ferrum to Lehi and Dora Ingram. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by three brothers, Grey, Elbyrne and Gale Ingram.
He served in the Army during World War II and was a member of the House of Prayer in Floyd.
Surviving are his wife of 64 years, Vera Shively Ingram; a daughter, Jeanette Hall of Bassett; a son, the Rev. John Ingram of Stanton, Ala.; several grandchildren; 14 great-grandchildren; a niece; and two nephews.
The funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Flora Funeral Chapel at Rocky Mount with the Revs. Richard Hall, Joseph Ashby and William Preskitt officiating. Burial will be in Franklin Memorial Park.
