David Emry was the son of Travis Adcock Emry and Elizabeth Frazier. The family relocated to Jefferson County, Iowa where David married Amanda Talbert on Feb. 17, 1855.

Note: the middle name "Adcock" is being entered onto this memorial per edit request from another contributor on November 3, 2015.

David and Amanda relocated to near Central City in Merrick County, NE. To this union were born 13 children (at least accounted for):
Rachel, John Quincy Adams, Nancy Ann, James, Esther, Francis Henry(Frank), Elizabeth, Cyrus, Richard T, Alfred Luther, Harriet Frazier, William Emry, and Sarah Ellen.

Of these, Alfred Luther and Harriett F Emry are buried in Central City Cemetery in the same area as their parents.

The descendents of Rachel and James married into the family tree of this contributor, who lives in Jefferson County, Iowa. Thus my interest in this Emry family. That said, this contributor is not a direct descendant of this Emry family.

----------
Note: The Emry family tree information gives death date for David as Dec. 29, 1916. The headstone only uses years for the DOB and DOD, so any further documentation (obituary/bio) would be appreciated for clarification.

Update (March 26, 2013):
