OBITUARY

Caroline Sanger was born near Piqua, Ohio, in the year 1852. Her parents moved to Lake county, Indiana when she was but four years of age and settled on land east of Lowell. Except for a short period of time when she lived in Hammond, she had lived at Lowell all her life.

At the age of 21 she was married to Cyril C. Sanger, who soon after set up in the hardware business in Lowell. Mr. Sanger proceeded his wife in death 33 years ago.

She leaves to mourn their loss, a daughter, Mrs. Ada Bell, a sister, Mrs. Fred Bowman and a brother, Charles Childers. There are also four grand children.

Funeral services were held at the Church of Christ in Lowell Thursday at 2 p.m. J. E. Poor, pastor of the church, conducted the service. Interment was made in the Lowell cemetery beside her late husband.

Funeral services of Mrs. Caroline Sanger, 76 widow of Cyril C. Sanger, were held at the Church of Christ in Lowell on Thursday afternoon. Mrs. Sanger passed away at the home of Dr. and Mrs. Sam Bell, in Hammond, on April 3rd, paralysis being the cause of her death. Mrs. Sanger spent most of her life in Lake county and for years was a resident of Lowell, prior to her failing health, when it became necessary for her to leave her home here. Her death is mourned by her adopted daughter, Mrs. Bell, and sister, Mrs. Fred Bowman, of Lowell, one brother, Charles Childress and four grandchildren. For the past fourteen months Mrs. Marie Ashton has been her devoted nurse and friend. Mrs. Sanger was laid at rest in the Lowell cemetery by the side of her husband who preceded her in death by thirty-three years.
