Miss Thompson, 37, died Wednesday (Dec. 31, 2008) at Rochester Methodist Hospital after being ill for three years with leukemia.
Kristi Marie Thompson was born Oct. 31, 1971, in Winona. She graduated from Lanesboro High School in 1990. She worked at TRW in Rushford, and enjoyed walking, going to the park and spending time with her son. She was a member of Bethlehem Lutheran Church.
Survivors include a son, Bailey Arneson, of Stewartville; her mother, Charlene Knutson, of Lanesboro; a sister, Cher (Edward) Block, of Jesup, Iowa; a brother, Jamie (Holly) Knutson, of Canton, Minn.; and three nieces and two nephews.
She was preceded in death by her step-father, Larry Knutson; her maternal grandparents; and her paternal step-grandparents.
Visitation will be for one hour prior to the service Monday at the church. Memorials may be directed to the family.
