Born July 1, 1929, in Vale Summit, at his current residence, he was the son of the late James Marshall and Myrtle (Fatkin) Albright. He was also preceded in death by three brothers, John, Marshall, and Melvin Albright.
Mr. Albright was first retired after 20 years as a machinist at Celanese Fibers Corp. He also retired as proprietor of the Frostburg Amoco where he was blessed with many special employees over the years. A U.S. Air Force veteran for the Korean Conflict. He was a lifelong member of the Vale Summit United Methodist Church, the Grand Lodge of the Ancient Free and Accepted Masons of Maryland, Mountain Lodge 99 A.F. and A.M., and the Farrady Post 24 American Legion, Frostburg, and was a cornea donor to the Maryland Eye Bank. He enjoyed gardening, traveling, Nascar, and total devotion to his grandchildren since retiring.
Surviving are his wife of 44 years, Arlene (Kight) Albright; one son, Dennis Albright and wife, Kim; one daughter, Donna Skidmore and husband, Pete, all of Mt. Savage; one brother, Thomas Albright and wife, Irene, Boca Raton, Fla., two sisters-in-law, Margaret Albright, Glen Burnie, Erma Albright, Hagerstown; four grandchildren, Jason Skidmore, Becky Skidmore, Molly Albright, Amy Albright, all of Mt. Savage; many devoted nieces and nephews; and a very special friend, James Crowe, Frostburg.
Friends will be received at the Durst Funeral Home, P.A., 57 Frost Ave., Frostburg, on Wednesday from 7 to 9 p.m. and Thursday from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 p.m. Mt. Lodge 99 A.F. and A.M. will conduct a memorial service at the funeral home on Thursday at 7 p.m.
Services will be conducted at the funeral home Friday at 10 a.m. with the Rev. George M. Harpold, officiating.
Interment will be in the Vale Summit Methodist Church Cemetery. Military honors will be accorded at graveside by Farrady Post 24 American Legion Honor Guard.
