Mrs. Minnie B. Powell, 82, passed away Saturday in the Wysong Hospital. She was born April 29 1892 in Kentucky but had been a long time resident of McKinney where she was a member of the Westside Church of Christ,
She was married to G. W. Powell in Oklahoma and her residence was 804 North Church Street.
Surviving are her husband; three sons; Clifton and George "Pete" Powell of McKinney, Paul Powell of Illinois ; daughter, Mrs. Helen Blankenship of Allen; six grandchildren and five great grandchildren.
Funeral rites were held in Turrentine - Jackson - Morrow Chapel at 2 p.m. Sunday with Frank Morgan officiating. Burial was in Pecan Grove Cemetery.
