Born Aug 3, 1932 in Scriba, she was a daughter of the late Coe and Theodora (Enos) Upcraft and had attended Oswego schools.
She was a homemaker who was employed with the cafeteria at the New Haven Elementary School for 17 years.
Mrs. Hyde enjoyed gardening and camping.
Surviving are her daughter, Irene Hyde of Scriba; three sons, Duane (Margaret) Hyde of Oswego, Eric (Laura) Hyde of Scriba, Bruce (Kimberly) Hyde of Scriba; four sisters, Gloria Best of Dexterville, Frances (James) Searles of New Haven, Diane (Charles) Spicer of Scriba, Roxanne (Charles) Parkhurst of New Haven; two brothers, Dean Upcraft of Scriba, Carl Upcraft of Scriba; 13 grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren; and nieces and nephews.
She was predeceased by her husband, Rae Hyde Sr., in 1988; her son, Rae Hyde Jr., in 2000; and a sister, Cathy Stoutenberg, in 2006.
Funeral services will be held on Monday at 11:30 a.m. from the Lycoming United Methodist Church.
Spring burial will be in North Scriba Cemetery.
Friends may call at the Dowdle Funeral Home on Sunday from 4-8 p.m.
In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to the Lycoming United Methodist Church or to the American Kidney Fund.
