Lou Emma Medford, 80, of OKC, died Feb. 10, 1989, following a lengthy illness. A longtime resident of OKC. She was born March 31, 1907 to Charles & Alice Ryther in Tuttle, OK. She attended Tuttle public schools, graduating from high school & attended Central State University. Lou Emma married Roosevelt M. Medford January 22, 1927. For many years she worked at Kerr's Department Store & Rothschild's at Penn Square. She was a very loving & caring mother, grandmother & friend. She was a faithful member of University Christian Church, as long as her health permitted her to attend.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Roosevelt in 1944 & her grandson, Mark Medford in 1979.

Survivors include her son, Donald C. Medford, granddaughter, Sherry Kueteman, cousin, Allie V. Potter & a very dear & caring friend, Marie Janssen, all of OKC, brother-in-law, Erskin Medford & sister-in-law, Vada Belle Smith, both of Mustang & many nieces & nephews.

Services will be held at 1 p.m. Monday, February 13, at Guardian Midtown Chapel with burial to follow at Fairview Cemetery in Tuttle, OK.

Note: When Lou Emma's mother passed away shortly after Lou Emma's birth, George and Sarah Hosey raised Lou Emma as their own child. Lou Emma and her husband are buried next to "Papa Hosey and Mama Hosey".
