Lorene Potter found the body of her 23 year old daughter, Beverly "Jaye" Potter Mintz brutally murdered in 1987 while her then 2 year old son was home with her in her Village Road home. The attack took place in front of her son, Andrew, who was one day away from his second birthday. Her 4-year-old son, B.J., was visiting his paternal grandmother that day. Through her agony, Lorene Potter thought her daughter's murderer would be brought to justice. She says, "When she was murdered I thought ,well, they'll have him in a couple of days and that went by. I said a couple of months, and then it went to a couple of years." Twenty one years later and Jaye's murder is still considered a cold case. She was survived by her husband
