Robert (Bob) Lacy Kirkland, 87, passed away on Monday February 16, 1998 in St. Vincent's Medical Center, Jacksonville, after a lengthy illness. Mr Kirkland was born in MacClenny into a family of twenty-two brothers and sisters. He was a retired crane operator for Baker County and also a farmer. He was the son of the late Joseph and Dollie Carroll Kirkland. Survivors include his wife of sixty-six years, Sadie Burnsed. Daughters, Wilma Rowe of MacClenny and Joan and husband Danny Long of MacClenny. Sons, Bobby Ray Kirkland of MacClenny and Lewis (Dub) Mobley and wife Hazel of Jacksonville; sisters, Lizzie Crawford and Rosa Croft both of MacClenny; brothers, Ealie Johnson of Jacksonville; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grand children; and many beloved nieces, nephews and friends. Funeral services will be held on Thursday February 19 at 2pm in the Souls Harbor Church of Glen St. Mary, with Rev. James Scott officiating. Interment will be in Oak Grove Cemetery, Baker County. The family will receive friends on Wednesday from 5pm until 9pm at Fraser Funeral Home 712 S. 6th St., MacClenny, FL.
