Edwin Paul Carder, 82, of Decatur died 2:18 a.m. Tuesday (Nov. 2, 2004) in Decatur Memorial Hospital.
Services will be 10 a.m. Friday in Calvert Funeral Home, Maroa, with Pastor Bruce Jacobs officiating. Visitation will be 6 to 8 p.m. Thursday with 8 p.m. Masonic services. Burial will be in Ridge Cemetery, Maroa.
Mr. Carder was born September 25, 1922, in Kenney, the son of Jesse Wheat and Myra Ethel (Wilhour) Carder. He was a 50-year member of Masonic Lodge 454, Maroa. He was a retired farmer and retired from A.E. Staley Mfg. Co. He married Martha Jane Lunsford on September 22, 1944, in Tulsa, OK. She died on September 6, 1993. He then married Norma Sprague on July 28, 1996, in Decatur, IL.
Surviving are his wife Norma; children, Deborah (John) Coggins of Mount Zion; Mark (Jan) Carder of Decatur; Larry (Judy) Carder of Decatur; sister, Harriet (James) Tilton of Waterloo; seven grandchildren; nine great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Martha; brothers, Bernard and Harold.
