Lieutenant Deacon Nathaniel Peck was the grandson of Joseph Peck the immigrant and the son of Joseph's 5th son Nathaniel and his wife, Deliverance Bosworth. He settled on the land left him by his father. He was a prominent citizen of Barrington, holding various public offices, was an officer (Lieutenant) in the Colonial militia and was a Deacon of the Congregational Church. Nathaniel married Christian Allen March 18, 1695 in Rehoboth and their children were: Ebenezer, Nathaniel III and Thomas. After the death of his wife Christian in 1702, Nathaniel married Judith Smith July 18, 1705 in Swansea, Bristol County, Massachusetts and their children were: Daniel, David, Abigail, Bathsheba, Solomon, John and another John. He had 10 children and lived to 82. His son Nathaniel III died in the French and Indian War at Fort Edward, NY, August 5, 1756. He is an ancestor to many Pecks in Barrington, including Leander Remington Peck and his son Frederick Stanhope Peck. His second wife Judith Smith was a sister to Sarah Smith, wife of his cousin Jathneil Peck #25163108 at Palmer River Cemetery in Rehoboth, MA.
