Mrs. Susan D. Combs
Rockville Centre, May 17. - Mrs. Susan
D. Combs, 91, died Monday night at the
home of her grandson, George D. A.
Combes, on Merrick Road. The funeral
will be held to-morrow at 3 P. M., from
her late residence with interment in
Rockville Cemetery. She is survived
by three children, Mrs. Charles Corn-
well, of Rockville Centre; Mrs. Har-
manus Swan, of Brooklyn, and Dr. Ab-
bott C. Combes, of Elmhurst, besides
several grandchildren and great-grand-
children. She was a descendant in the
ninth generation of the Rev. Richard
Denton, who, with his congregation,
settled Hempstead early in the seven-
teenth century. She was the oldest
resident of this village.
