Mrs. Clara Ward, 88, moved to Corsicana, Texas at the age of two years with her parents. She was a member of the College Hill church of Christ and a lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers of America.
Clara married Jerome House in April of 1920 who was electrocuted in a work accident in 1921 when Clara was 6mos pregnant with her first child. She married Virgil Moore Sr in 1925 who died of pneumonia in 1933. Virgil and Clara had two children together and lived in Waco, Breckenridge, and Corsicana, Texas. Clara married Edgar Ward in 1946 .
Survived by one son - Virgil E Moore, Jr; two daughters - Mrs. Mary B Beamon and Mrs. Jerome Roxburgh; three step-sons - E L Ward, Jr., George "Buddy" Ward, James D. (PeeWee) Ward; one brother - A.T. (Lonnie) Monroe; one sister - Mrs. Mary Frances Kenner (71121943); 22 grandchildren and 23 great-grandchildren.
