Elmo Lester "Mo" Ball, 65, of Kingsport passed away Sunday, December 21, 2008, after an extended illness.

Mo enjoyed woodworking and traveling.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Sampes Robert Ball and Mildred Lawson Ball; a brother, Earnest "Bud" Ball; and a sister, Maxie Vaughn.

Surviving are his caregiver, Betty Carter of Kingsport; three sons, Kevin Ball of Kingsport, Keith Ball and girlfriend Diana Wolfe of Church Hill, Kyle Ball of Kingsport; four grandchildren; one sister, Mildred Collins and husband Tom of Kingsport; and two brothers, Eldon Ball of Michigan, and Ellis Ball and wife Lorna of Franklin, Ohio.

The family will receive friends at from 12:00 to 2:00 p.m. Saturday at Darthula Baptist Church. Funeral services will be conducted at 2:00 p.m. Saturday at the church with Pastor Layton Bentley officiating. Burial will follow at Darthula Baptist Church Cemetery.

Family members and friends will serve as pallbearers.
