Mrs. James Ritter
Mrs. Rosa Ritter, widow of the late James Ritter, was born at Augusta, Michigan, May 19, 1858. She departed this life April 10, 1935, at the age of 76 years, 10 months, and 21 days.
She had been confined at her home north of Lawton for nearly three years during which time she had been a very patient sufferer.
On August 4, 1872, she married to James Monroe Ritter. Three sons and three daughters were born to this union, two of whom died in infancy, and one son, John, was killed on the railroad.
She was always a good and loving mother, of a sunny disposition, and had many friends in this community.
She leaves to mourn their loss, three children, Fred Ritter, Mrs. Zella Boyd, and Mrs. Henry Taylor, all of Lawton; a granddaughter, June Taylor Swander of Benton Harbor, Mich., has always made her home with her grandmother; 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and one great-great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews, besides a host of friends, by whom she will be greatly missed.
Funeral services were held at the home Saturday afternoon, the Rev. Robert Geiger officiating.

Baker, Frances Baker, Augusta; Mr. and Mrs. W. J. Aubrey, Marshall; Mr. and Mrs. Irvin Swander, Mrs. Al Adkins, Cleo Willmarth, Kalamazoo; Mrs. Lem Kiser, Indiana; Mr. and Mrs. Jason Silvernail, Mr. Chas. FOUR GENERATIONS SURVIVE LAWTON'S PIONEER, DEAD AT 78

LAWTON, April 11.—Mrs. Rose Ritter, 78, a resident of Lawton for more than half-century, died last night at her home here.
Of her six children, she leaves a son, Fred Ritter of Lawton, and two daughters, Mrs. Zella Boyd and Mrs. Henry Taylor, both of Lawton. She also had 12 grandchildren, 10 great-grandchildren, and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Ritter was born on May 17, 1858. James Ritter to whom she was married in 1872, died in 1922.
Funeral services will be held Saturday afternoon at 2 o'clock from the late home, with Rev. Robert Geiger, Methodist pastor officiating. Burial will be made in Oak Grove Cemetery.
