EAST PRAIRIE - Mildred Marie Woods, 61, died at 11:59 p.m. April 4, 2002, at Missouri Delta Medical Center in Sikeston.
Born Nov. 30, 1940, in East Prairie, daughter of the late Robert Vester Kirby and Mildred Johnson Kirby Crowe, she lived in Mississippi County all her life and was of the Baptist belief.
On Sept. 23, 1957, she married Bobby Gene Woods who preceded her in death on Aug. 11, 1995.
Survivors include: three sons, Tony Woods, Mark Woods and Randy Woods; two daughters, Michelle Nunn and Holly Humphrey; one stepson, Michael Elam; two brothers, John "Bo" Kirby and George Kirby; three sisters, Ruth Burns, Nancy Hedges and Bonnie Brown; and 12 grandchildren.
Two sisters, Birdie Merryman and Betty R. Wheatley, also preceded her in death.
Visitation and funeral service at Shelby Funeral Home with Amos Johnson officiating.
Burial will follow in East Prairie Memorial Park Cemetery.
