Mrs. Sarah Pauline "Polly" Robinson, 73, of Lower Fayetteville Road, Sharpsburg, died August 4, 1998, at Fayette Community Hospital. Mrs. Robinson was born Jan. 12, 1925 in Houston, Texas. She was preceded in death by her husband, A. Lee Robinson, and a son, William Lee Robinson.

Mrs. Robinson was a homemaker and member of the United Daughters of the Confederacy, Daughters of the American Revolution, Eastern Airlines Pilots' Wives Association, and Coweta County Genealogical Society. She was a member of Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church, and memorial contributions may be made to Cokes Chapel or to the Mission Fund of Fayette Baptist Church, Longview Road, Fayetteville, Ga.

The graveside funeral was at the cemetery of Cokes Chapel United Methodist Church on Friday, August 7, at 11 a.m. The Rev. John Freeland will officiate, assisted by family friend, Lew Rabbit.

Survivors include her son, Will (Nanette)Robinson, Franklin, TN; daughter, Susan (Ronnie) Whatley, Senoia; daughter, Sally (Mike)Neal of Tyrone, Ga.; brothers, Robert "Bob" Clancy and Word Clancy of Houston, Texas; sister in law, Mary Ann Blackburn, Katy, Texas; grandchildren, Whitney Robinson, Laura Robinson, Pollyanna Whatley, Suzanna Whatley, Christopher Whatley, Leeanna Whatley, Andrew Neal, and Brittany Neal.

2022 note: additional members of the family include Craig Stanfill husband of Sally, Aaron Hudson husband of Whitney. Great grandchildren; Maddi and Max children of Pollyanna and J.P. Hall. Lee, Luci, Lane and Lauren children of Christopher and Stephanie Whatley. Ellie, Robinson Lee "Robby", Henry, Willy, Charley, Joey and Sonny Howard children of Leeanna and Kyle Howard and Harper and Hannah Grace daughters of Brittany and Jason Wright.
