Cheri Lynn Carlsen Alvey
FARMINGTON – Cheri Alvey, 44, died unexpectedly on December 15, 2008. She was born May 30, 1964 to Dean LeRoy Carlsen and Stella Mary Packard. Cheri graduated from Ogden High School and Utah State University. She married William Alvey and they later divorced.
Cheri taught Special Education; she was employed at Knowlton Elementary in Farmington where she taught 2nd grade. "She loved her school children".
She loved to travel and did so extensively; she made a Humanitarian visit to Africa.
She leaves behind her three sons Aaron, Ashton and Austin, who were the love of her life; parents Dean and Stella Packard of Ogden and Dean and Virginia Carlsen of Liberty; and a brother Glen Carlsen.
She was preceded in death by a brother Kent Carlsen.
Funeral services will be held at 1:00 p.m. Friday, December 19, 2008 at Myers Mortuary, 845 Washington Blvd., Ogden. Friends may pay their respects on Friday from 12 to 12:45 p.m.
