Chester Arthur Scott Sr.
(July 16, 1915 - May 23, 2012)
U.S. Veteran Chester Arthur Scott Sr. son of the late Mary Hall Scott and Albert Scott was born at Swanzea, Illinois, on July 16, 1915. He departed this life at NHC Healthcare in West Plains, Missouri, on May 23, 2012 at the age of 96.
In 1982 Chester was united in marriage to Thelma Dora Brawley, she preceded him in death on July 3, 2011. Chester was a Veteran of the United States Navy, having served in WWII. Chester was saved and Baptized in West Plains. Chester was a Master Mason. His hobbies included watching TV, reading, hunting and fishing.
Chester was preceded in death by his parents, his wife, one son, George Scott and six brothers, Dallas, Ben, Mike, and Bill Scott and Erman and Harold Smith.
Chester is survived by three sons, Chester Scott and wife Nellie of St. Charles, Robert Scott of Granite City, IL, Larry Niedringhaus and wife Lin of Hope Mills, North Carolina, one daughter, Carolyn Files and husband Jerry of Troy, IL, 12 grandchildren, 35 great-grandchildren, seven great-great-grandchildren, and one sister, Edith Reynolds of Olney, IL. Chester will be deeply missed by his family and friends who will mourn his passing.
Visitation: Wednesday, May 30th at 9 AM
