Woodrow Woody Wilson Fogle, 88, husband of the late Claudian Beard Fogle, of Mount Pleasant, SC passed away on Tuesday, October 21, 2008.
The relatives and friends of Woodrow Woody Fogle are invited to attend his Funeral Service on Saturday, October 25, 2008 in J HENRY STUHR, MOUNT PLEASANT CHAPEL AT 1:00 P.M. Burial will follow in Mount Pleasant Memorial Gardens. The family will receive friends at the chapel on Saturday at 12:00 noon, one hour prior to the service.
Woody was born November 29, 1919 in Cope, South Carolina, son of the late Donald Barton Fogle and Wilhelmenia Brickle Fogle.
After serving in World War II, he and his wife made their home and raised their family in Spartanburg, South Carolina. In 2006 they moved to Mount Pleasant to be near family.
Mr. Fogle was an active member of the First Baptist Church of Spartanburg and a faithful member of his Sunday school class and the choir.
He is survived by his daughter, Sheila Jamison and her husband Bill of Mt. Pleasant, SC; a son, Ross Fogle and his wife Debra of San Diego, CA; grandchildren, Shannon Jamison Beckham and her husband Greg, Jennifer Jamison Bowers and her husband Bill, Ivey Jamison White and her husband Scott, and Tyler Fogle. He was blessed with seven great-grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Claudian Beard Fogle just nine months ago.
