John Enoch Bagwell (Reverend) was born on 11 Apr 1844 in Greenville, South Carolina. He was the son of Micajor Bagwell and Harriet Stone. He served in Company C, 42nd Regiment Georgia Volunteer Infantry, Army of Tennessee, C.S.A. (Milton County, Georgia known as the Milton Tigers) as a Private. He married Eliza Evelyn Williams circa 1863. He lived in 1870 in Milton County, Georgia. John Enoch and Eliza Evelyn Williams moved from Georgia to Alabama between 1874 and 1878. Family legend says he loaded up the wagon in Georgia one day, put his family on and left - supposedly to keep from killing someone. He died on 22 Nov 1909 in Arab,Marshall County, Alabama, at age 65. He was buried at Brashiers Chapel, Arab, Marshall County, Alabama.
